Our Experience in BSW
We’ve been proud to support communities in Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire for over a decade, providing essential services such as health visiting, school nursing, community nursing, and specialist therapies.
In Bath and North East Somerset, we work with young families to help them thrive and provide therapy services to support independence. We also offer adult services to help people maintain their health and wellbeing. Since 2017, we’ve been delivering services such as community hospitals, outpatient clinics, and school nursing. Our dedication to this community was recognised with a contract extension in 2021, which runs until 2027.
In Wiltshire, we’ve been delivering care for long-term conditions, palliative support, and services for children with additional needs since 2016. We also provide Public Health Nurse-Led Services, with a contract recently extended in 2023 to run until at least 2029.
Across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire (BSW), we’ve introduced innovative services like hospital-at-home programmes and neighbourhood wellbeing hubs. These are designed to bring care closer to home, making it easier for people to access the support they need while improving health outcomes.
Positive Experiences
Our commitment to high-quality care is reflected in the experiences of our patients and colleagues:
- In the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT), an impressive 94% of service users rated the care we currently deliver in Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire as highly positive.
- In our most recent colleague survey, 81% of team members in Bath and North East Somerset and 74% in Wiltshire said they would recommend their teams as a great place to work.
- 81% of colleagues in Wiltshire said they felt enthusiastic about their jobs, and 84% of colleagues in Bath and North East Somerset said that they felt empowered to suggest changes that improve services and teamwork.
These results highlight the dedication of our staff and the positive impact of our services across BSW.
Looking Ahead
In April 2025, we’ll take on the leadership of all-age community services across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire under a new seven-year contract. This is an exciting opportunity to expand and enhance the care we offer, working closely with local communities to meet their needs and support better health and wellbeing for everyone.
